Pinery Lakes Ski Trails

The Pinery Lakes Ski Trails feature narrow paths that wind through a beautiful mix of pine and hardwood forests. These trails are groomed for classic skiing only, offering a quiet, traditional experience through the Baraga County woods.

• Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate

• Terrain: Doubletrack ski trails

• Activities: Classic Cross-Country Skiing (Winter), Snowshoeing (Winter), Hiking, Mountain Biking

• Winter Grooming: Classic tracks only; no skate skiing.

• Trail Etiquette: * Snowshoers are welcome but must stay to the side of the set track.

  • No dogs allowed on the groomed ski trails.

  • Please do not walk on the groomed surface to preserve the tracks.

Directions & Parking

From downtown L'Anse:

1. Head North on Main St./Skanee Rd. for 1.8 miles.

2. Turn right onto Indian Cemetery Rd.

3. Continue for 2.1 miles; the trailhead will be located on your right.
