Little Mountain

Located at the end of Golf Course Road, the Little Mountain Trail rewards hikers with some of the most stunning panoramic views in the region. From the summit of Little Mountain, enjoy a bird's-eye perspective of Keweenaw Bay and the villages of L'Anse and Baraga. Expect a more challenging ascent through rocky terrain to reach this vantage point.

• Terrain: Technical singletrack - rocky, rugged terrain

• Activities: Hiking, Snowshoeing (Winter)

• Highlights: More challenging trail, expansive views of Keweenaw Bay

• Trail Rules: This is a foot-traffic only trail. Please respect the generosity of the landowner to allow public access by staying on the marked trail and practicing "Leave No Trace" principles.

Directions & Parking

From downtown L'Anse:

1. Head East on Broad St. to US-41 for 0.7 miles.

2. Turn left onto US-41 S.

3. Continue for 2.2 miles then turn right onto Golf Course Rd. 

4. Continue to the end of Golf Course Rd. for 1.8 miles.

5. Park along the edge of the turnaround. Trail heads East from this point.
